Friday, January 18 – Ceilidh Celtic Barn Dance – Free kick-off event
7:00 pm – Midnight at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park in Building W.
Join us for the Estes Park Winter Festival’s kick-off event! A Céilidh Iris Barn Dance in the indoor heated pavilion at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds. Be entertained with fun and upbeat Celtic music by Mulligan Stew and professional caller, Molly Bennett complemented by Irish dancers to round out the entertainment. Follow the caller to learn the steps and you will want to kick up your heels! We know you will have a blast!
Take a break from the dancing and enjoy a drink from the bar with $4 Colorado micro-brews and $5 glasses of Colorado wine plus cocktails from local distilleries. We’ll also have FREE hot cocoa and s’mores.
Admission to the Ceilidh is FREE. Sponsored by the Estes Park Wedding Association.
Saturday and Sunday, January 19 & 20
11:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park
The Estes Park Winter Festival presents two days of chili, mac ‘n cheese, wine & beer tasting, live music, and fun activities for the whole family.
Join us in the heated pavilion for:
- Wine tastings from Colorado wineries.
- Beer tastings from local micro-breweries.
- A Chili Cook-Off, plus NEW this year… a Mac n’ Cheese Showdown.
- Artisans displaying and selling their art, jewelry and so much more!
- Face painting, balloon artists, cookie decorating, coloring and air hockey.
- Top it off with live music, featuring Coyote Grace and some of the area’s best bands, and you’ve got a
- great way to keep warm while enjoying winter in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado!
Cool Off Outside with:
Snowzilla toboggan run, huge “live” interactive snow globe, pony rides, petting zoo with a camel, interactive ice sculptures and so much more!
Saturday’s event features restaurants competing to determine who has the “Best of the Fest.”
Sunday’s event features a CASI sanctioned Chili Cook-Off sponsored by the Colorado Chili Pod featuring amateur cooks from Estes Park and across Colorado; as well as many local cooks sharing their favorite recipes in the “home-cooked” division of the competition. Anyone can join the fun, visit our website to register to cook.
The festival is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sat. and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20, and the cost is $5 for children age 4-9 and $10 for 10 years and older, which includes fairgrounds entry, activities and chili and mac ‘n cheese tasting. There is no charge for children under three. Wine and Beer
tasting is an additional $30 and includes a commemorative glass. Pony rides are an additional $5 per person.
Monday, January 21 – Downtown Block Party
11 am – 5 pm at Dairy Queen Parking Lot across from Bond Park.
Free ice skating, sponsored by Estes Park Winter Festival. Nut roaster, petting zoo, face painting, balloon artists & pony rides ($5).
